Publish from Kneaver to WordPress in 4 pictures
I’m getting super at ease with this new iteration of the WordPress publication. It gives me motivation to keep writing, writing, writing.
So here it goes in 4 steps:
-
1. Create an Item in Kneaver.
See what I just did here :)
-
2. make your item Public
It’s in the more submenu of the toolbar below the … icon.
This step is not yet included in the process. It will come.
By default stuff are private on Kneaver, privacy first.
Before you can publish something it needs to be released to the public. Kneaver has multiple level of sharing public and Private are just the two extreme. You see on the picture that the scope is “Bruno Winck”, it means it’s private.
-
3. Publish!
Same more menu displays “Publish to NS2”. I have several target WordPress blogs you will usually have just one and the name of the menu will be “Publish to WordPress”. When the item as already been publish it becomes “Update on WordPress”.
-
4. Confirm publication
This is where you can choose to publish as a post or as a page.
You can also publish at once, means the post will be visible to all at once or you could publish as a draft and finalize the publication in WordPress. Use this if you are unsure of the result.
-
Look the result on WordPress
This is it, it’s done.
This means you can start writing on Kneaver and publish at once on Wordpress when you are ready. Instead of procrastinating on your ideas, just make an Kneaver item for each and add material as it comes to your mind. You can have thousands of them, keep them a private thoughts or share them, update them with the same tool.
When it’s shared it’s a real blog post, with your look and feel, your commenting system, your widgets. Not like a GoogleDoc or a Note shared.
PS: I’ll have to save as is and add the picture in a second publication for obvious reasons.
